Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to sign a contract for a certain number of visits?
    • No. There is no contract for a number of visits. We continue as long as you wish. There is no financial penalty for discontinuing service.
  • What if I don't like the aide you send?
    • Please call us immediately. We will be glad to try another aide for you as soon as we can do so. We want you to like the person who is coming to assist you. We want you to be happy you have chosen us.
  • What is the difference between a CNA and a companion?
    • A companion is a caregiver who has had no formal schooling in care, but has learned through experience how to care for patients. They may have started at home caring for a parent or grandparent. They decide they like it and continue to do care. A CNA has gone to school, passed a final examination, and the passed a state certification exam. They have a certification and must adhere to the guide lines set before them. They have more schooling, medical experience, and can care for patients with more involved illnesses. Both the CNA and the companion may have CPR credentials.
  • What if my family comes to visit me and I don't want services while they are here?
    • You call us at the agency and let us know. We hope you will give us some notice and let us know the dates you will not be needing us. Also, let us know when you want to begin services again. We will take care of it and there is no penalty for this. The same thing applies if you wish to go out of town on a visit, just give us the the information and your aide will be there when you get back and are ready for service.
